Without doubt, having made to measure roman blinds can play an essential part in creating that classic refined finish you've always wanted. You shouldn't have to make do with the limited size options that come with pre-packed roman blinds.

Here at curtains made for free, you don't need to worry, because we'll custom make your Alora Cotton Buttercup Roman Blinds to whatever sizes you need. We also provide this service absolutely free of charge, so the only cost to you would be the materials.

If you're installing your blind in a recessed window, we suggest deducting 10mm from your wall to wall width measurement to ensure a good fit. To allow you to raise and lower your roman blind with ease, we use a sleek headrail cassette system complete with a sidewinder chain pull.

Our roman blind fabrics are carefully chosen based on their premium quality and design. Each blind is finished by hand to minimise visible stitching, ensuring you get a superior tailored look.

Our Cotton Sateen Ivory Lining ìs a high thread count luxurious fabric, that has a lovely crease resistant soft touch finish.

Super Soft Ivory Blackout Lining

With our 100% cotton Super Soft Ivory Blackout Lining, you not only get a lovely soft feeling fabric which does an excellent job of blocking out the light, but you also have a lining that works very well to help keep out those unwanted drafts.

Interlined Ivory Blackout Lining

Our Interlined Ivory Blackout Lining is a premium quality fabric with an interlining layer, making it perfect for shutting out the light. The extra lining not only gives the curtain a fuller and more luxurious feel, but also does a great job to help keep those unwanted window drafts at bay.

Interlined Cotton Sateen Ivory Lining

The Interlined Cotton Sateen Ivory Lining is made from 100% cotton and will give your curtains a lovely thicker feel. Its insulating qualities also work very well to help keep unwanted window drafts at bay.

Thermal Ivory Lining

Our Thermal Ivory Lining is a superior quality 100% cotton reverse brushed fabric. Its insulation properties will keep out window chills but won’t block out sunlight, so if you want your curtains to deal with window drafts but not stop any light coming through, this lining is the ideal choice for you.

We strongly recommend choosing our ivory interlined blackout lining, this improves the pleating and drape of the blind.

Choose Your Blind Style
Blind style:

Standard Pleat Roman Blind

Our standard pleat roman blind is the more simple, modern style of roman blind, the top pleat would be approximately 17-25cm deep and all other pleats would fall directly behind. This style would suit a fabric with a larger pattern (plain and striped fabric also work well) complimenting a more contemporary or modern style of décor.

Cascade Pleat Roman Blind

Our Cascade Pleat roman blind is the more decorative option of pleat, the top pleat is smaller than the standard option and the remainding pleats are staggered below giving a more detailed look – this style would suit fabric with a small pattern (plains and striped fabrics also work well) and offers a more classic decorative style.

The overall length of the roman blind when they are in the ‘up’ position would be very similar with both styles of pleating, (approx. 17cm – 25cm) for a more exact depth, please contact us with your required sizes.

Choose Your Chain Pull Options

Chain length is the actual chain drop, E.G a chain length of 50cm, would have a 100cm overall loop.

The chain can be as short as you would like, it does not need to be a particular length according to the length of the actual roman blind as it works on a continuos loop.

Safety recommendations state that the bottom of a blind chain should be at least 150cm above floor height.

We do supply child safety clips which can be fitted to ensure the roman blind chain does not hang loose.
